Theme of Today Communication

So often I hear that he or she is not listening.  ” they don’t say what they mean” “how am I to read their mind” “their words do not match their body language”…. and all  of this , may be true but does it need to warrant an argument? What are we really arguing about? What is driving your own emotion to start the argument, to engage in the argument, to keep the argument going? How easy is it to blame the other for starting the argument? What part of the argument is your responsibility? So the next time you find yourself in an argument just stop and take a deep breath. Keep as calm as you can be and truly listen to what is being said. Listen with open ears… Do not judge what you think you are hearing but actually listen to what you are hearing, this may make all the difference. If you do not understand what is being said as the person to repeat themselves but to use different words and thank them for clarifying the issue.  Let me know how this works.
